It's not necessary as I found out when I noticed that there were no instructions on how to use it. I just used a small screwdriver to move the slide.
It is a nice and great watch for the cheap price. but a thing that could be optimized in the future would be if yall could make the wristband of the watch not that sharp. because if it is nearly at your wrist it could hurt a bit but that is just a opinion.
